Always my favourite place when I pass by Sungai Way for their home cooked dishes i.e. less MSG but yet still good. Hot favourites including their BBQ Pork, Claypot Kangkong Prawn, Deep Fried Fish and a few more. Less dishes as compared to others but generally all good. Moreover, the prices were reasonable and service was fast and attentive. It is located not far from the Indian Temple, famous Ah Sang Bak Kut Teh and along the same road as the restaurant serving Yam Rice, Mixed Pork Soup and Stewed Pork Trotters. Parking is ample if you come at the right time.

Paid a visit on Saturday afternoon for a late lunch. There were 2-3 other large tables of customers but they had their meal. Ordered a deep fried threadfin fish ( ma you) - perfectly chunchy doen to the fins with ginger shavings and lightly salted drizzle. Perfect. And a claypot of kangkung with prawn paste - had prawns in it, pleasantly surprised. Simplicity is key here. A must visit!
Came on a Thursday about 12.30pm & chat siu sold out. However the steamed pork was satisfactory, fried fish also good. Home atmosphere as this restaurant is located at an extension of the house. Taste like homecooking. Nothing fancy but good to eat.
Home-style comfort food hits different! Used to be super famous for their Char Siew buns during MCO days. This time, went back after quite a while and ordered: Plum pork ribs Soft Tofu with Pineapple Claypot kangkung with shrimp All above average and definitely worth a revisit!
- It's so old school and hot. - They have a menu with prices, and their receipts have prices too so it feels good actually seeing numbers tied to the dishes and not just random Chinese characters with prices. - Had curry fish (RM 31.80). 8.5/10. Creamy curry. - Steam white chicken (RM 23.80) - Potato leaves (RM 8.80) Good for three people. - Food in large portions. Well cooked. - Difficult place to get to. But if you want to experience an economically depressed area, it's an interesting place to go to. It's safe. You can see this dynamic community of Indonesian and Chinese factory workers cohabitate an area together.
